Our breaks and the 24‑hour curriculum
At Elemore Hall School every part of the school day contributes to learning. Breaks, social times and mealtimes are an integral part of our 24‑hour bespoke curriculum. Each break period is planned to deliver personal, social and independence learning: short structured activities, peer‑led tasks and restorative conversations support pupils’ social skills, emotional regulation and relationships in the same way classroom sessions develop academic skills. This approach ensures therapeutic routines and social learning are built into pupils’ daily experience across all sites.
Official school day: 08:55–15:30 (Mon–Thu); 08:55–12:30 (Fri). Weekly total (including breaks): 29 hrs 55 mins.
Pupils staying for Extended Day activities may finish the school day at different times depending on the activity and taxi availability. This may be 5.00pm. 6.00pm 7.30pm or 8.00pm.
